', BALLOON, true, ABOVE, true)" title="Digi-Key">Digi-Key, Accelerated Designs has announced that it now has an integrated interface to Digi-Key part data. The interface will allow quick updates to existing CAD libraries and provide an automated method for creating new CAD libraries using its Ultra Librarian tool set, says the company.

The Ultra Librarian is designed to automate the creation of both CAD footprints and symbols in a rules-based parametric environment that produces consistent and correct CAD data, which can be imported into multiple CAD tools, including Cadence Allegro, OrCAD Capture, and Concept; Mentor Graphic’s Design Concept, DxDesigner, Expedition, Design Architect, Board Station RE and XE, and PADS; and Altium’s P-CAD and Altium Designer tools.

Frank Frank, owner of Accelerated Designs, Inc., said: "We look forward to helping our users access Digi-Key’s popular on-line product offering and the electronic component database to quickly determine the pricing and availability of the component they need and at the same time, help users create CAD representations that they can immediately utilize in their electronic design tools."

The combination of Ultra Librarian with Digi-Key component information allows users to create CAD part representations for the most relevant components sold today.

"Design engineers consistently rate Digi-Key #1 for the breadth of its product line and product availability in independent industry surveys. With this, we believe the integration of Digi-Key component information directly into Ultra Librarian will help engineers speed their design process and further improve their product time to market," said Mark Larson, president and COO at Digi-Key.
