Antenex, a unit of Laird Technologies, introduced its Phantom Elite mobile antenna for fixed and mobile applications.
The indoor and outdoor antenna features patented True Field Diversity technology that provides both vertical and horizontal polarization in a low profile, sleek design. The devices are used in public safety, taxis and vehicles, as well as WiFi (Wireless Fidelity)applications. In addition, the patented circuit board design provides video and data transmission in urban canyons and rural drop-out areas where traditional antennas fail.
The Phantom Elite complements the famous Phantom products and customers have the same superior performance of the Phantom technology now packaged in a more dynamic, stealth housing.
Phantom antennas are specified by public safety, military, utility and transportation providers. As a vital part of the friend / foe identification system, Phantom antennas have been installed on Apache, Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters and Humvee and Bradley military vehicles around the world.
The product is currently available in volume production and is available in the VHF, UHF, 2.4GHz and dual-band cell / PCS versions. Most Phantom Elite mobile phone masts also allows users to 3 db-MEG gain. All models are produced with field proven ABS injection molded material. Combined with the low profile, aerodynamic housing, Phantom Elite antennas are less susceptible to damage and vandalism. The antennas can be mounted with a NMO or permanent N female mount.
