Dreamweaver 9

Dreamweaver 9.0 Updater

09/01/08 This update addresses issues discovered after the launch of Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. It is recommended for all users of Dreamweaver CS3. Make sure the language version of the updater matches the language version of your copy of Dreamweaver. For example, you can't use the Middle Eastern updater with a non-Middle Eastern version of Dreamweaver.

Dreamweaver 8

Dreamweaver 8.0.2 Updater

05/09/06 This product update improves code generated by Dreamweaver for server behaviors and for active content such as Flash. If you haven’t installed the 8.0.1 updater yet, simply install the 8.0.2 updater to get all the fixes for both updates. Also make sure the language version of the updater matches the language version of your copy of Dreamweaver. For example, you can't use the English updater with a non-English version of Dreamweaver. If you installed Dreamweaver 8 from a CD, you will be prompted to insert the CD when running the 8.0.2 updater. If you no longer have the CD, please try the workaround described in the Release Notes.

Dreamweaver 8.0.1 Updater

01/16/06 This product update fixes bugs in Dreamweaver 8.0. All users of the English version of Dreamweaver should apply this updater, regardless of operating system. The updater will be available for non-English versions in the near future. This updater will update Dreamweaver 8.0 to version 8.0.1. You can check your product version number on Windows by selecting the Help > About Dreamweaver, and on Mac by selecting Apple Menu > About Dreamweaver. Full Release Notes are available.

  • Improved performance for the Macintosh

Trial users (English only): If you have a trial version of Dreamweaver 8.0, You can download the updater and extend your trial by 30 days. All you need to do is:

  1. Download the English updater
  2. Install the updater over the current version of the trial

The trial version will extend by 30 days whether your trial is active or expired

Dreamweaver MX 2004

Dreamweaver MX 2004 Updater

3/11/04 This product update fixes bugs in Dreamweaver MX 2004. All users running the Dreamweaver MX 2004 7.0 should apply this updater, regardless of location or operating system. This updater will update Dreamweaver MX 2004 to version 7.0.1. You can check your product version number by selecting the Help > About menu. Full Release Notes are available. This updater includes:

  • Improved stability and performance across all platforms, especially on Macintosh
  • Bug fixes
  • Restored Timelines feature

Dreamweaver MX

Dreamweaver MX 6.1 Updater

The Dreamweaver MX 6.1 Updater includes performance improvements and enables collaboration with Macromedia Contribute. In addition, several outstanding issues discovered since the release of Dreamweaver MX have been addressed in this updater.

Dreamweaver 4

Dreamweaver 4.04 Updater - Windows
The 4.04 Updater applies specifically to the Japanese, Korean, and Chinese language versions of Dreamweaver 4 on Windows only.

The following problems were fixed by the updater:

Dreamweaver 4 will sometimes experience a memory error and crash when selecting a nested table in Design view.

Some Windows 2000 and XP users with NVIDIA GeForce or TNT graphics cards experience the error "Could not locate the Resources file in the Configuration folder. This file is required to run Dreamweaver. Please reinstall the application." when attempting to run Dreamweaver after installation.

Note: The NVIDIA conflict can also be resolved by installing the latest Detonator driver, dated 4/26/02 or later. This driver is available at http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=windows2000.

Dreamweaver 4.01 Updaters
Description: The Dreamweaver 4.01 point release fixes several issues which Dreamweaver 4.0 users may encounter. Customers using Mac OS 9.1, WebDAV, Visual SourceSafe, and Netscape 6 will benefit from installing this update.

The Dreamweaver 4.01 updater will only update Dreamweaver 4. To use the updater, you must have a full version of Dreamweaver 4. If you have Dreamweaver UltraDev, use the Dreamweaver UltraDev 4.01 updater available in the Dreamweaver UltraDev Support Center.

This updater will not update the Dreamweaver 4 Trial.

Dreamweaver 3

Dreamweaver 3.01 Updaters
This small updater file fixes several minor issues with Dreamweaver 3. Customers who want to take advantage of Dreamweaver extensions from the Macromedia Exchange and the Aria Objects for Dreamweaver should download this updater.

Extension Fixes

Dreamweaver MX extension fix for .NET framework version 1.1

For Windows only, this patch fixes an issue with the rendering of built-in ASP.NET controls that arises after installing version 1.1 (or greater) of the ASP.NET Framework. The default MM.ASPNetDesignerMgr.dll file is replaced with an updated version that has been tested with Dreamweaver MX 6.1.

Dreamweaver MX extension fix for source code formatting issue

Dreamweaver MX 6.1 fails to format code correctly if the preference for indentation has been turned off. This extension installs a command that runs invisibly each time you start Dreamweaver. If the Dreamweaver version is 6.1 and you have disabled indentation then a special registry key is set to revert to an older version of Dreamweaver's code reformatter. This works around the aforementioned bug.
